​About us...
Bega Valley Medical Practice (BVMP) has been providing professional, friendly, family health care to the Bega Valley community since 1997. Our team of doctors, nurses and allied health professionals are dedicated to creating an atmosphere in which patients feel comfortable and confident that any care they receive will be of the highest standard.

Bega Valley Medical Practice strives to be a quality medical service which is current with advances in medical technology, computerisation, practice management and training. The Practice holds full accreditation with Australian General Practice Accreditation Limited (AGPAL) and is an accredited teaching practice committed to training medical students and GP Registrars.

BVMP is open from 9:00am - 5:00pm Monday to Friday and is located at 61 Carp Street in Bega with ample car parking available at the back of the building.

Please note: Our phone lines are closed every day between 1:00pm - 2:00pm to allow our staff to have a lunchbreak and complete necessary administration tasks before the commencement of the afternoon session. 

Seeking medical care outside of our opening hours
If you’re not experiencing an emergency, but you’re feeling unwell or not sure if you need to see a doctor, Healthdirect offers a handy symptom checker and approved health advice. You can call the Healthdirect helpline on 1800 022 222 (24 hours) to talk to a registered nurse.


Alternatively, you can present in person to the Emergency Department at South East Regional Hospital located a 4 Virginia Drive in Bega. 

If you need a doctor outside of our opening hours, please call 000 for emergency assistance or call the NSW Mental Health Line on 1800 011 511.
