How will I receive the vaccine and how many doses?

You will receive the vaccine as an injection, most commonly into your upper arm muscle. Please wear clothing with easy access to your arm.

You must remain in the vaccination clinic for observation for at least 15 minutes after vaccination.

It is important that you receive two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to be fully protected.

AstraZeneca vaccines need to be at least 12 weeks apart.
Pfizer vaccines are 3 weeks apart.

Full protection against COVID-19 will not occur until about a week after your second dose.

We recommend booking an appointment for BOTH vaccine doses so your second appointment is ready to go!
